2026 Jewelry Trends: Color, Sculptural Shapes & Everyday Diamonds

Our considered edit of 2026 jewelry trends, with ways to bring color, shape and a little more individuality into the pieces you wear every day.

The most useful jewelry trend is the one you can make your own. For 2026, we are looking at color, sculptural shapes and more individual combinations, then asking a quieter question: how would you actually wear them on an ordinary day?

This is MERVAUX’s edit of the year’s jewelry conversation. Fashion reporting provides the starting points; the ways of wearing them below are our own suggestions. There is no need to replace a collection, abandon a favorite metal or turn every outfit into an occasion.

1. Colored gemstones: let one color change the mood

Who What Wear’s 2026 report highlights renewed interest in colored gemstones. Our interpretation begins with one considered accent: a yellow diamond against an ivory shirt, or a blue gemstone with soft brown knitwear.

Choose the color you keep returning to in other parts of your life. It might echo a favorite painting, a place you remember or simply a shade that makes you look twice. Then decide how much presence you want. A small colored stud and a substantial ring can tell very different versions of the same story.

If you are exploring High Jewelry, let the individual piece lead. One expressive ring can be enough; it does not require a matching necklace, bracelet and pair of earrings.

2. Sculptural jewelry: look at the outline

ELLE’s February 2026 edit includes sculptural silver and architectural collars. The useful idea for a fine-jewelry wardrobe is attention to form: a curve, a clean edge or an interesting space between the stone and its setting.

You can explore that idea without buying a large silver cuff. Start by comparing the silhouettes of rings and earrings you already like. An elongated shape creates a different impression from a compact circle. A clearly drawn outline may provide all the detail an outfit needs.

Look beyond a close-up photograph, too. Consider how high a ring sits, how an earring rests on the ear and whether a shape feels comfortable alongside the clothes you wear most.

Notice how one continuous curve frames the neckline. The uncluttered shape carries the look.

3. Mixed metals and layering: build a combination that belongs to you

Vogue’s spring 2026 runway report documents layered jewelry and combinations of different materials. Our version is deliberately simple: begin with a piece you already wear, then add one element that changes its rhythm.

A yellow-gold ring can sit within the same outfit as white-metal earrings. Two necklaces can work together when their lengths give each pendant space. Repeating one detail, such as a rounded shape or a restrained scale, can help a mixed combination feel considered.

Think about movement as well as appearance. Chains should not constantly tangle, and neighboring settings should not press against each other. Try the combination while seated, putting on a jacket and reaching for your bag. A stack should fit your day, not become another thing to manage.

Different lengths separate the strands; repeated bead shapes keep the composition connected.

4. Everyday diamonds: choose a familiar piece with a personal detail

Who What Wear also includes bezel settings and daily diamond wear in its 2026 coverage. We see an invitation to reconsider the pieces that become part of a routine: diamond studs, a pendant necklace or a tennis bracelet.

Instead of making carat weight the first decision, start with proportion. Do you want a small point of light, a visible line across the wrist or a pendant that remains noticeable over a sweater? Compare dimensions, setting style and length before deciding on a stone size.

Daily wear still includes moments when jewelry is best taken off. Diamond resists scratching exceptionally well, but it can chip from an impact. GIA’s care guidance is a useful reminder to consider the setting as well as the stone.

How to choose a 2026 jewelry trend you will keep wearing

Before adding a piece, imagine it with three things already in your wardrobe. Ask whether you like it in ordinary daylight, whether it is comfortable and whether its specifications answer your questions. Then leave room for your taste to change.

At MERVAUX, we see these directions as possibilities, not a dress code. Your jewelry can be quiet one day and expressive the next. For every state of you.
