Radiant cuts carry brilliant faceting inside a cropped corner outline, so they hold light like a round while keeping straight edges. Above ten carats the cut has to stay even across a much larger table, which is what the excellent polish and symmetry here are doing.

Setting an eleven carat radiant
Eleven and a half carats needs a shank with real substance and a basket that sits low, or the ring rocks on the finger. Four double prongs on the cropped corners is the usual answer, since those corners are the only part of a radiant that is at all vulnerable. Platinum keeps a G reading white; yellow gold warms it deliberately, which some people prefer at this scale.
